Screen problems we fix
- Cracked or shattered glass with the display still working. Replacing early stops glass slivers cutting the OLED underneath.
- Black screen after a drop while the phone still rings or vibrates: the display panel is damaged, not the phone.
- Green, purple or white screen, vertical lines, flickering, or a permanent bright spot.
- Touch not working, ghost touches, or a dead strip of the screen.
- Screen lifting at the edge, usually a swollen battery pushing the display up. We check the battery at the same time.
- Cracked back glass is a separate repair; on the iPhone 14 and newer the back glass is replaced without removing the logic board.
How much does iPhone screen replacement cost in Lahore?
The price depends on the model and the display grade. OLED panels for the iPhone X and newer cost more than the LCD panels on the iPhone 8, SE and XR, and Pro models with ProMotion 120 Hz displays cost more still. Original panels are the most expensive, OEM-grade panels sit in the middle, and aftermarket LCD-style panels are the budget option. Send us your model and a photo of the damage on WhatsApp for an exact quote, or walk in for a free check. The quote you approve is the final price.
Original vs OEM-grade vs aftermarket iPhone screens
- Original displays — genuine Apple panels pulled from other iPhones. Exact colour, brightness, ProMotion and True Tone behaviour. Highest price, and availability depends on the model.
- OEM-grade displays — new OLED panels made to Apple’s specification (often called “soft OLED” or “hard OLED”). Near-original colour and brightness at a noticeably lower price. Our most popular choice.
- Aftermarket displays — new LCD-type panels made for OLED iPhones (“incell”). Cheapest, fully functional, but thicker, less bright, with weaker blacks and slightly higher battery use. Best for older phones or a phone you plan to sell.
What iOS will show: on the iPhone 11 and newer, any display not paired through Apple’s system triggers an “Unknown Part” or “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display” notice in Settings. It is a notice only; touch, Face ID and brightness are unaffected. On some models True Tone needs to be re-programmed onto the new panel, which we do as part of the job.
Will Face ID work after the screen replacement?
Yes, if it worked before. Face ID does not live in the screen; it lives in the front sensor flex (the flood illuminator and dot projector) that is attached to the display assembly. We transfer that original flex from your old screen to the new one on every replacement. Face ID fails after a screen change only when that flex is damaged or torn, which is the most common reason phones come to us after a cheap repair elsewhere. If Face ID already showed “Face ID is not available” before the screen broke, we diagnose that separately on our Face ID repair page.
How long does an iPhone screen replacement take?
Most screen replacements are done in 30–60 minutes while you wait. Models where the display and the front sensor flex need careful transfer, or where True Tone and ambient light data have to be programmed, take closer to an hour. If the frame is bent from the drop we straighten it first so the new screen sits flat and stays sealed.
