One honest note about iOS: on iPhone XR/XS and newer, iOS ties the battery to the logic board. After any third-party replacement, Settings may show an “Unknown Part” or “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery” message and Battery Health may read “Service”. This is normal, does not affect charging or performance, and appears even with genuine pulled batteries. We tell you this before the repair, not after.

Battery Health below 80%: what it means

Apple designs iPhone batteries to keep about 80% of their original capacity for roughly 500 full charge cycles (about 1,000 cycles on the iPhone 15 and newer). Once Maximum Capacity falls below 80%, Apple itself recommends a replacement: the phone loses hours of screen time, iOS may throttle peak performance to stop shutdowns, and the risk of sudden power-off rises. Most iPhones in Lahore reach this point after 18–30 months of daily use, sooner in summer heat. A new battery restores the original screen-on time and removes the performance limit.

How long does the replacement take?

Most iPhone battery replacements at APEX are finished in 30–60 minutes, so you can wait at the shop. Models with a sealed back (iPhone 8 and newer) take a little longer because the display is removed, the old adhesive pulls are extracted, and the phone is resealed with new adhesive.
